KARACHI: Six died and two were left wounded in three firing incidents – within 30 minutes – on Friday.
According to police, Yaqub, Shahid and Usman were going to participate in a religious gathering when they were shot dead in Shafiq Mor area.
Another such attack claimed two lives in Patel Para area of Shafiq Mor gun attack. Separately, in Hyderi area, three locals were wounded after which one of them named Shafiqur Rehman succumbed to his critical condition.
The attacks came minutes after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif claimed in a rally in Kashuta Tehsil of Rawalpindi that terrorism was effectively countered by policies of the ruling party.
