ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Muhammad Mian Soomro on Tuesday refused to sworn in as the state minister.
Soomro got angered on being inducted as the state minister instead of being awarded a federal minister portfolio. The PTI leader had reportedly returned to Karachi from the capital without taking the oath.
The federal government had decided to induct Soomro as the State Minister for Privatisation.
However, according to the sources, Soomro was informed a few hours before the oath-taking ceremony that he was being inducted as the state minister.
Sources close to him has informed that he has served on top posts such as former caretaker Prime Minister and former Senate chairman and he feels it an inappropriate thing to be appointed as state minister now.
