ISLAMABAD: The police officer who was slapped by the additional attorney general (AAG) during the appearance of Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (r) Safdar in the accountability court, on Wednesday pardoned Khawar Ikram Bhatti. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry played key role in reconciliation between the police and lawyers. Earlier, Khawar Ikram Bhatti was removed as Punjab’s additional advocate general. He was seen slapping a senior policeman when police officials deployed at the Judicial Complex stopped lawyers belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz from forcing their way into the courtroom.
